第二节:读写任务(共1小题,满分25分)
阅读下面的短文,然后按照要求写一篇150词左右的英语短文
Why is it that we tend to value relationships more once they've ended? Is it simply human nature to take for granted the smile of someone close, the friendship of a relative, the concern of a neighbor? In the moment,we think that these people will be around forever.
Most of us never stop to imagine all those who have a profound impact on our lives. It’s so easy to justify this casual attitude by saying we are too busy, too tired, too involved with work, too concerned about money, and the list of excuses goes on and on. So enjoying a friendship may be put off for one day, and then another. Before long, feelings have faded, and there is less incentive to get together. Almost relegated to a chore now, precious moments become something to endure.
Usually, something dramatic must happen to change this apathy and pull one out of a rut. Perhaps it’s something shocking, like a death,a divorce, sudden illness,an accident — something stunning to force taking notice. Then comes the guilt, the re-assessment of feelings, the sadness of loss.
We long to have those precious moments once again,to share and express our feelings. Instead of waiting for an excuse, why not get out of the rut, take the initiative, and spend quality time with the people you value. Let them know how really important they are.

We seldom have the right attitude towards the relationship which exists and is helpful in our daily life. It is not until friendship is away that we begin to know how to treasure it.
As for me, I also have the similar experience, when I was in junior middle school.
My desk mate, Li Hua, who was once my best friend, transferred to the other school because of his parents job change. I was very sad for a long time. I wasn’t brave enough to express my gratitude to him for his help with my English because I didn’t have a good relationship after I quarreled with him over his breaking my favorite toy. At that time, I didn’t forgive her although she apologized to me.
There is no doubt that it was my own fault. I should have accepted her apology. What’s more, she didn’t mean to break it. Not until Li Hua was leaving did I realize I was selfish. I can get another new toy but I can’t get another Li Hua again.

The wave of panic buying   抢盐风波
Many people in China rushed to store as much iodized salt(含碘食盐)as possible. This trend has led to grocery store shelves being ransacked over the past several days.
"I went looking for salt in the supermarket, stores and street markets, and it's all sold out."
It all stems from the rumor that iodized salt could help ward off radiation poisoning spreading from Japan's Fukushima Daiichi power plant. Consumers also worried that the nuclear plumes might spread to China by air and sea, contaminating food sources, including salt taken from the sea.
The wave of panic buying spread quickly throughout the country, driving up salt prices by five to ten fold(涨到五到十倍)in some cities.
Even regions rich in salt production, like Jiangxi Province face sudden shortages.
Local authorities have stepped in to stabilize the market. As well, state-owned salt companies have been urged to increase their supply.
Facing expanding market demand, distribution centers like this one in Beijing have taken extra measures to ensure they are well-prepared.
Wang Yun, Beijing Salt Industry Corporation, said, "Our storage reserves can guarantee a two-month supply for the Beijing market."
Measures are being taken to prevent panic buying. Health authorities and experts have begun informing the public that the rumor of salt's protection against radiation is "totally unfounded"(完全是无稽之谈). The public is being urged to be more rational when buying salt.

第二节读写任务 (共1小题, 满分25分)
阅读下面的短文, 然后按要求写一篇150词左右的英语短文.
Students should concentrate on their lessons and not be distracted by housework chores, farm labour, and other daily manual work. The reason is obvious. Students are trained to be future builders of this country with knowledge and skills. They are not trained to be manual workers. Knowledge and skills are what they need. It never matters if they always leave their rooms in a mess. Their parents never fail to clean up and pick up after them. Nor does it matter if the school kids can never carry a bag of flour or something like that. Leave it to those less educated. Nor does it matter if the kids never wash their clothes. Leave it to the laundry. In a word, it does not matter if the kids can not and will not do any chores and manual work. As long as they set their minds to their lessons, everything else will take care of themselves.
