Rebecca Shedden is a British schoolgirl,and she's only eight years old. She is one of the youngest people to have arrived at the top of Snowdon,Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis—the three highest mountains m Britain. And she climbed all three in 24 hours.
Rebecca and her dad finished the climb in 23 hours and 15 minutes. That includes the time they spent driving to each mountain: a distance (距离) of about 500 miles!
Climbing isn't new to this schoolgirl. She has been interested in climbing since she took her first trip up a mountain in her dad s backpack when she was just six months old!
“The best part about this climb was Scafell Pike ,” said Rebecca. 4 I ve never walked in the dark before? and it was fun seeing all the eyes of sheep as they ran around in the dark.
Rebecca brought along food,water,a camera and even a phone. Along the way,she and her dad had fun making up mountain songs.
The young climber doesn’t plan to stay on flat (平的) land for long. She dreams of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro (乞力马扎罗山) ，the tallest mountain in Africa. “ And maybe I could climb Mount Qomolangma (珠穆朗玛峰) one day too ,” she said.
