Without classes and exams, summer vacation（假期） is a good time for Australian kids. To me, it means much more than not going to school. It’s also a good opportunity to spend time with my family because I have little time with them during the school year.

Last summer I travelled with my family to the Hawkesbury River in Western Sydney. It was one of the most interesting summer vacations of my life.
