For example, a fight, or a war in 1812 between England and the United States could have been avoided (避免). A peace agreement had already been signed (签署). Peace was made in England, but the news of peace took six weeks to reach America. During these six weeks, the large and serious War of New Orleans was fought. Many people lost their lives after the peace agreement had been signed. In the past, communication took much more time than it does now.

With the help of modern technology, it’s much easier to get more information within a short time. Our lives are becoming faster and faster.
