Hello, I am John. How time flies! I have been in this school for nearly three years. Here is what my school life is like.

At school, our teachers are strict with themselves. They care about each student. When we have any problem, they always help us. We students all respect them and listen to them carefully in class. We help each other. After class, we can finish our homework on time.

Though I am busy with my study, I still live a colorful life. I watch TV for one and a half hours every week (I spend one and a half hours watching TV every week.) I enjoy watching TV programmes about sports because I think they are very exciting. I enjoy music in my free time. I like classical music very much because it is serious and has a lasting value. I have a gift for painting. I always encourage myself to keep trying and make more wonderful pictures.

As a junior middle school student, I hope I can make great progress and get high marks in the exams. Make my dream come true and enter the ideal high school. I think I will live a happy life in the future.

Can you remember the first piece of music you bought? If you¡¯re in your 20s, it was ¡¾1¡¿ (probable) a CD. More than ten years ago, you ¡¾2¡¿ (go) into a music shop and bought it. Then a part of the money went to the band or the singer¡ªthat¡¯s ¡¾3¡¿ musicians made their money.

Nowadays, however, young people in the UK hardly ever go to the music shops. In fact, there aren¡¯t many music shops left there. Now lots of young people would laugh at the idea of ¡¾4¡¿ (buy) CDs from music shops. They get music from the Internet without paying. Of course it is ¡¾5¡¿ the law. However, ¡¾6¡¿ recent survey found that each teenager has about 800 songs on their phone that are from the Internet without paying.

In this case, some young British bands are trying some interesting ways ¡¾7¡¿ (make) money. In the past bands could make some money from T-shirts, CDs and pictures ¡¾8¡¿ they need to be more creative now. Rock band Franz Ferdinand keep people ¡¾9¡¿ (interest) in their toys, bags, books and even shorts with their own brands.

Some of other big names in British music are joining in. Coldplay produces water ¡¾10¡¿ (bottle) for their new song. If you want snacks, you can check Robbie Williams¡¯s website¡ªit really sells biscuits.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ Living in a new era of high technology, more people choose to ask for help by using crowd funding (ÖÚ³ï) online. Some people think it¡¯s convenient and people can get help in time when they are in trouble. There are some other people refusing to donate money in this way. Thanks to the crowd funding, I have a chance to succeed in starting a company. About three years ago, I got help from almost eighty thousand strangers. Maria

I often do volunteer work in my free time. I¡¯ve been volunteering for nearly six years. But I am unfamiliar with how crowd funding works. I don¡¯t think I have time and energy to check whether the online information about the people is true. So I never use crowd funding. I prefer to help people in my neighborhood.

Jean

Everyone in my family was upset and lost hope when they knew I had a serious illness. I was really thankful to the nurse who told us to try to raise money with help of crowd funding. At first, my parents thought it was unbelievable and impossible to get the money.
