The houses we lived in were very old. The environment which was badly polluted was terrible. It was not convenient for people to go to other places. Therefore, there used to be few visitors to come here every year. People here lived a very hard life.

But now, great changes have taken place in my hometown. People move into the bright, new houses, and most of them have their own cars. The environment becomes better and better. The mountains turn greener, ihe sky becomes bluer arid the river gets cleaner. Every year, thousands of tourists from all over the world come to my hometown.
