12．One day，a raven（渡鸦）happened to fly past a lake．Looking at the lake，he saw the most beautiful animal he had ever seen．It was a swan（天鹅）and its feathers（羽毛）were as white as snow．The swan was playing with other birds happily，talking and dancing．And it seemed that the other birds all liked to stay with it．When he looked at his own feathers，they were as black as coal．The raven was very angry with the swan．"How can the swan have such wonderful feathers？"said the raven．What should he do with his feathers？He thought it over and over．

6．Robert Todd Lincoln was born on August 1，1843．He was the first child born to Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln，Robert was 18when his father became the United States President in 1861．
At that time，Robert was a student to Harvard University．During a trip home to Washington D．C in 1863．he nearly got injured or died at a railroad station in New Jersey．
Robert was standing in line to purchase a bed in the train’s sleeping car from the conductor．The conductor was standing on the platform selling tickets at the entrance to the train．

Robert Todd Lincoln went on to become a successful lawyer，he worked as U．S Secretary of War．He was president of the Pullman Railcar Company．On July 25^th 1926，he died in his sleep at his summer home in Vermont．He was 82．
