An English Dinner

　　Meg and Ted ask their Chinese friends to Borne and have dinner with them. What will they cook? Ted has no idea. Meg thinks they'd better give their guests something different to eat. Meg makes a shopping list and Ted does some shopping. They need beef, chicken, fish, eggs, peas, carrots, cabbages, tomatoes and potatoes. They need juice, bread and fruits, too.

　　When everything is ready, Meg and Ted start to prepare the dinner. Ted prepares the first course-soup and fruit juice. They are appetizers. Meg prepares the main course. She cooks meats and vegetables. She prepares fish and chips. Fish and chips are very popular with the English. Meg prepares the desserts, too. Desserts are sweet and delicious. It is the third worse. In this course, the English usually have ice-cream and cakes.

　　When their guests come, everything is ready. Ted and Meg sit at their table with their guests. They start to have the soup and the juice. When they finish the appetizers, Ted takes away the dishes. Meg brings meat, vegetables, fish and chips onto the table. After the main course, they enjoy ice-cream and cakes.

　　The whole meal is over. The guests are leaving. They thank Ted and Meg for their delicious meal. They say they really enjoy the food. Ted and Meg are glad that their guests like their food.
