Travel Tips

The USA Pavilion (美国馆) is at the east end of the Expo Garden’s Pudong Section (世博园浦东区). It can be reached from Gate No. 8. Visitors are advised to visit the pavilion in early afternoon, as most people prefer starting their visits from early morning, when it might take more than an hour to get inside. The whole visit takes about 45 minutes.

The Body Image Exhibition is on!

From June 1 to July 1, over 70 pieces of paintings, photographs and videos will be on show at the Exhibition.

The street food stands（摊）are very popular in Korea . They take their name from the two kinds of hot foods they sell : Dukbokgi and Odeng .

Dukbokgi is a spicy hot food made of rice cakes and some vegetables . These rice cakes are finger-shaped . They are white , and they are about ten centimeters in length（长度）. Science has discovered that as each bird flaps (拍打) its wings, it makes uplift for the bird behind it. By flying in a “V” formation (队形) , the whole group adds at least 71 percent greater flying range (范围) than if each bird flew on its own.. In autumn, geese head south for the winter, flying in a “V” formation .

People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going more quickly and easily, because they are traveling with the help of one another.

When a goose falls out of formation, it won’t try to go it alone but will quickly get back into formation.

If we have the sense of a goose, we can stay in formation with people who are heading in the same direction as we are. When the head goose gets tired, it goes back in the wing and another goose flies to the point. It is sensible to take turns to lead, whether with people or with geese flying south.

Finally, when a goose gets sick or is wounded (受伤) by a gunshot, two other geese fall down with that goose. They follow it down for protection and to lend help. They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly or until it dies.
