Everyone needs friends.There is an old saying，“Friends are God’s way of taking care of us．”But how do you find real friendship and keep it．

The American writer Sally Seamans tells young students some smart ways to find friends．Sally says finding friendship is just like planting a tree．You plant the seed(种子)and take care of it to make it grow．

First，you should choose a friend．What makes a good friend? If you ask me to tell how to get along in the United States, I think the following “do's” and “don'ts” would be helpful.

Generally speaking, it isn't easy to find anyone to talk to in a busy city, so you should try to do the following. First, get or borrow a dog! Walk him several times a day! When someone says six o'clock, be sure to be there by six. Americans respect time and want everyone to be “on time”.
