     A month ago Mr. Turner was so poor that he couldn't take any food home. It was a cold night when he was on
duty. He drank some whisky to warm himself.Soon he fell asleep. Some expensive watches were stolen in the shop
that night. And he lost his job for it. He was a soldier when he was young and he could do nothing except keeping
the gates. The people in the small town knew him well and nobody would employ (雇) a man like him. His family got
into trouble.
     One evening the poor man went out to look for some food. He heard someone calling for help. He ran there and
found a car in the river. He tried to pull a young man out of the water and took turn to hospital. The young man's
father thanked him very much.He employed him and told him to keep the gate of his factory.And the Turners moved
to the town where the factory was. Their son began to go to school there last week. The boy is weak in math and
