For as long as I can remember, I have loved photos. When I was little, I would spend hours looking at old family photos. In the fourth grade, my parents gave me a camera to take with on our trip to Washington D.C. I took photos of everything that interested me during the trip.
Photography（摄影）is more than a hobby for me - it's my way of life. So why do I take photos?
▲To hold onto memories
Photos capture (捕捉) memories. Time goes by quickly, and it's not always easy to live in the moment. Taking photos makes me hold onto those moments just a bit longer.
▲To tell a story
Photos take us to another place and time. I take the camera with me and record my days. Later I show the photos to my friends and family as I tell them about my days.
▲To see the world differently
I look for the special and beautiful moments every day. Nothing is too boring to be beautiful - sometimes you just have to look for it.
▲ To learn a new skill
Photography is a journey and an art. Although anyone can take photos with their phone, there is a difference between taking photos and learning photography.学习是我生活的一部分。
