I left home for New Zealand to start my new life on my 15th birthday. My father and mother took me to Hong Kong, where we had to say goodbye. This was the first time I had traveled so far by myself. I wiped(擦) away my tears and also realized I would have to do everything by myself from then on.

After I arrived there, I really found life and study were quite different. There were only 20 students in each class. Students were very active and teachers were not so serious. We could sit with anyone we like. The school had an easy manner, with few rules. In a term, only maths, science, social studies and English were the subjects we had to take. The others were free to choose. So I chose music, art and computer.

In my free time, I joined clubs to take an active part in activities. And I always went to the library after class, where I found a lot of books to help with my studies. Because I could swim well, I even found a part-time job as a life saver in my school swimming center. As time went by, I found life there was really busy but happy.
