Sometimes we feel good, such as when we get good grades or when something good happens. Sometimes we feel bad, such as when we argue(争吵) with our classmates or when the teachers criticize(批评)us. Both kinds of feelings are normal(普通的). Of course, we all enjoy good feelings, but when we feel unhappy, sometimes we don’t know what to do about it. Here is a plan that will help you when your feelings are bothering you.

1. ACCEPT your feelings. Say to yourself, "I am sad." "I am scared." "I am angry." "I am embarrassed(尴尬)." It’s all right to have these feelings.

2. RELAX and have a rest before you act. Take slow deep breaths (呼吸)and relax your body. Imagine that you are in a safe place. You could listen to some music or sing a beautiful song!

3. THINK about ways to help yourself. Thinking helps you do something smart instead of hurting yourself or making things worse.

4. DO something to help yourself. Maybe you can talk to someone, or do something you enjoy. If it doesn’t work, go back to step 3.

1.If you want to relax yourself, you can _________.

A.say to yourself, "I am sad."

B.listen to some music or sing a beautiful song

C.think about ways to help yourself

D.watch thrillers

2.If you are feeling bad, you can say to yourself that _____.

A."I don’t want the bad feeling."

B."I want to be happy."

C."It’s too bad to have bad feeling."

D."It’s nothing to have all these bad feelings."

3.If you can’t talk to someone, or do anything you enjoy, you can ________.

A.accept your feelings

B.relax and have a rest before you act

C.think about ways to help yourself

D.do nothing

4.The passage tells us ________.

A.what we can do when we feel happy

B.we can do nothing when we feel bad

C.We all enjoy good feelings, but bad feeling is unusual to us

D.what we can do when we feel unhappy

Dear sir ,

I have travel every day from Souk Road to the airport. Two buses travel along the routes: the(路线): the number 49 and the number 16. But by the time the number 16 bus reaches Souk Road, it is always full, so I can’t get on it, I have to wait for the number 49 because sometimes there are empty seats on it.

The timetable says that there are buses from Souk Road to the airport every ten minutes. If this is true, why do I have to wait half an hour for a bus nearly every day?

The rules say that if there are empty seats on a bus, the bus must stop at every stop where people are waiting Why do the half-empty buses go straight(一直)past me when I am standing at bus stop?

The rules say that no bus may carry more than 40 seated passengers and 20 standing passengers. Yesterday I was the first to get off the bus when it reached the airport. I counted the other passengers as they got off. There were 129 people.

It is clear that our bus companies break the rules and think little of their passengers. Can nothing be done to make your service(服务) better?

                                                                  Yours

                                                              Tired passenger
