¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿Children know that summer is probably the most fun of all seasons. However, experts say it is also the most dangerous, especially for children aged 14 and under. In its first study of children's safety in the U£®S., the National Safe Kids Campaign (NSKC) found that nearly half of the injuryrelated(ÓëÊÜÉËÏà¹ØµÄ) deaths among children happened in summer.

Experts are not surprised by the study's results. They always know summer is a dangerous season for children. During the summer, children are out of school and spend more time outdoors. They are more likely to get into an accident or be injured. ¡°While we encourage children to be active and spend more time outdoors, they need to understand the importance of safety£¬¡± said Everett Koop, an expert of the NSKC.

To help children stay safe, the NSKC started a ¡°Make It a Safe Kids Summer¡± campaign during National Safe Kids Week, from May 5 to May 12. Here are some important summer safety tips from the NSKC:

¡ðAlways_wear_your_seat_belt.

¡ðMake sure there is an adult around when you decide to go swimming.

¡ðWear a life jacket when on a boat or doing water sports.

¡ðObey all traffic rules.

¡ðDon't meet epals alone.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿Like every successful person, Lang Lang went through years of hard and lonely practice before making his name. He began to take piano lessons at the age of three. With great talent, he won his first competition at the age of five. Lang's father pushed little Lang very hard to succeed. When he was nine, Lang went to learn music in Beijing. His father even quit(ÀëÖ°) his job and moved to Beijing with his son.

Then came the difficult time. ¡°I got fired(¿ª³ý) by the piano teacher six months later. It totally destroyed my piano dream.¡±Lang recalled(»ØÒä).

Hearing_about_his_son's_failure,_Lang's_father_was_so_angry_that_he_told_Lang_to_jump_off_a_building! Of course Lang didn't jump, and pressure(ѹÁ¦) soon changed into power. His big break came at the age of 17, when he won worldwide fame(ÃûÉù) at ¡°Gala of the Century¡±£¬ a wellknown concert in Chicago, U. S. Lang said it was his true love of music and the piano that made him keep working.¡°At the age of two, I fell in love with the piano when I saw Tom¡ªthe cat playing it in the cartoon£¬¡± said Lang.¡°Today, playing classical(¹ÅµäµÄ) music on the piano is still the happiest thing in the world for me.¡±
