To Rebecca's surprise，the shop owners agreed and Modbury became the first plastic bag free town in the UK．Instead，shops offered cotton bags or paper bags．Other towns around the UK followed Modbury's example and are becoming plastic bag free．It won't deal with all of the world's environment problems but it shows that there is something we can do and one person can make a big change with a strong enough decision．
