New Zealand is in the Pacific Ocean(太平洋) and it' s made up of two islands: the North Island and the South Island.

About a thousand years ago, the Maori people came from the islands of the Pacific Ocean to New Zealand and made it their home. Since then, people have come from all over the world to live in New Zealand.
