8.已知$\left\{\begin{array}{l}{x=4}\\{y=2}\end{array}\right.$与$\left\{\begin{array}{l}{x=-1}\\{y=-3}\end{array}\right.$都满足等式y=kx+b.
(1)求k和b的值;
(2)求当x=5时,y的值.

分析 (1)把x与y的两对值代入y=kx+b求出k与b的值即可;
(2)由(1)确定出的解析式,把x=5代入计算即可求出y的值.

解答 解:(1)把$\left\{\begin{array}{l}{x=4}\\{y=2}\end{array}\right.$与$\left\{\begin{array}{l}{x=-1}\\{y=-3}\end{array}\right.$代入y=kx+b得:$\left\{\begin{array}{l}{4k+b=2}\\{-k+b=-3}\end{array}\right.$,
解得:k=1,b=-2;
(2)由(1)得:y=-x-2,
把x=5代入得:y=-5-2=-7.

点评 此题考查了解二元一次方程组,利用了消元的思想,消元的方法有:代入消元法与加减消元法.
