(B) Mr Brown's old grandmother lives with him. Every morning she goes out for a walk in the garden and comes home at eleven forty-five for lunch.

But one morning a police car stops outside Mr Brown's house,and two policemen help the old woman to get out. One of them says to Mr Brown ,“The old woman loses (迷 失) her way home in the garden and calls us for help,so we drive the car to bring her home." Mr Brown is very surprised but he thanks the policemen and they leave.

(B) It was a hot day. A black crow (乌鸦) was very thirsty,so he flew here and there all day looking for water. Suddenly,he saw a big water bottle on the ground. He flew down to look at the bottle. “Water,there's some water in the bottle." He cried “But how can I drink the water?” He put his beak (鸟嘴) quite close to the water bottle. He couldn’t drink. The water was at the bottom of the bottle.

“What can I do? I want to drink." The crow looked up and down. He found many small stones (石头) near the bottle. He got a good idea. “I can pick up some stones into the bottle. Soon the water will be high in the bottle,and I can drink."

At last the crow drank a lot.What a clever crow!
