If you do not use your arms or your legs for some time, they become weak;when you start using them again, they slowly become strong again.Everybody knows that.Yet many people do not seem to know that memory works in the same way.
When someone says that he has a good memory,he really means that he keeps his memory in practice by using it.When someone else says that his memory is poor,he really means that he does not give it enough chance to become strong.
If a friend says that his arms and legs are weak。we know that it is his fault(过错).But if he tells us that he has a poor memory.many of us think that his parents are to blame(责备),and few of us know that it is just his own fault.
Have you ever found that some people can’t read or write but they have better memories? This is because they cannot read or write and they have to remember things;they cannot write them down in a little notebook. They have to remember days, names, songs and stories;so their memory is the whole time being exercised.

What is recycling? It is to reuse anything that can be used again.Recycling may save our world.“Recycling” also means doing everything we can do to prevent the need for recycling. How do we do this? Here are some suggestions:
●If you bring your own bags with you to the shop, you won’t need to use the bags of the shop. This will save bags before they need to be recycled.
●Don’t buy things that can be used only once. For example。use cloth napkins(餐巾) instead of paper napkins.
●Use things that last a long time. For example.use batteries(电池)that can be reused or “long life” light bulbs(电灯泡).This will make much less litter.
There are also many simple ways to save energy.
●Dress warmly in the cold season and use less heat.Dress in cool clothes during the warm seasons and avoid using air conditioners(空调).
●Be sure all the windows and doors are closed tightly. This keeps heat or air conditioning in the room and will save a lot of energy.
● Don’t leave the fridge door open for a long time!.
●Turn things off after you use them.
●Take showers instead of baths. You use much less water that way.If you take showers, take shorter ones.
