The article describes a great woman whose husband was killed in Wenchuan earthquake. In order not to influence their daughter who would soon take part in the College Entrance Examination, she decided to keep the misfortune to herself. She sent two text messages to her daughter each day using her husband’s mobile phone. Encouraged and comforted by her “father” in this way, the daughter did well in the examination.
