Today I showed some foreign friend around our city. We started off in car from the Friendship Hotel at 8:00 a.m. We first got to Jiangnan Park. We are all struck by its beautiful flowers on show. Then, we visited the City Museum. We saw plenty of valuable things, from that we learned a lot about the city. After that, they drove to Bei Shan Park. That is a beautiful place of interest in our city, but there we enjoyed the wonderfully scenery of the lake. We had delicious lunch at the seafood restaurant and we returned back at noon. All the foreign friends were pleased with my arrangement. We did have the wonderful time today.

How are you? As a exchange student, I am writing to tell you I would prefer to move into a single room in next term, as I find it inconvenient to share a room with others. My roommate often held parties at night, made much noise. Besides, his friends are always visiting him, that disturbs me a lot. So I hope to draw your attentions to this problem. If you think in my position, I am sure he will agree that the only solution for me is get a room of my own, one not in the same building and as near to the school campus as possible. I learned early in life that I had to be more patient and little aggressive. From the time I was about four until I was about six, I destroyed each of my toy. I was happy when the toys worked, but when things did wrong, I got angry and broke it. For a while parents bought me new toys. But before long they began to see which was happening. When I tear apart my fifth birthday toy train, my father said, "That's it. No more toys to you." My punishment lasted a year. A sports meeting was held in our school several days before. The last event was the 400-meter relay race, that had promised to be an exciting one. And so it was! Teams from every class joined in the race, but the winning team would be the champion of our school! So each player tries hard to win. The big crowd became quite silently and all of them had their eyes were focused as the team took their places. Heard the sound of the gun, the runners shot quickly and passed the relay sticks from one to another. Suddenly a runner from class 4 dropped his stick, but another runner picked them up and ran even faster. At the finishing lines, the runners from our class breasted the tape. Our class took a first place. Everyone cheered wildly and we felt extremely proud.

My car just wouldn’t move any farther. It was complete dead, and I was a few
miles away from anywhere in that cold, wet night. I decided walk around a little before
accepting I’d have to spend the night in the car. Maybe I can find a telephone. Actually,

shone from the sitting room. I knocked at the door and was delighting when a pleasant
old man opened the door but listened to my story carefully. He said he had no
