Each year, thousands of Chinese middle school students go to study in foreign countries. Recent research shows among 428 middle school students in Shanghai，nearly half of them would like to study abroad.

“Chinese children are eager to go abroad to get a wider view, less academic(学业） competition or even family honor，” said Chen Yi，a Chinese writer who has lived in the US for 16 years. “But life in foreign countries can be hard for young people. ’’

“We have to face the culture shock and language problems，” said Hong Guang, a Chinese student in London.

However, these are not always the most difficult things to overcome (克服）. To most children, controlling themselves when studying alone in a foreign country is a big challenge.

Zhang Jia, a 16-year-old student from Shanghai，entered high school in Melbourne,

Australia last October. To his surprise，his teachers there seldom pushed students to study. And usually there wasn’t much homework.

Some of his friends spent their whole year’s money in the first two months of the new term. “Studying abroad at a young age can help students learn foreign languages quickly and broaden their minds, but students and parents should know about the challenges，’’ Chen said.

Parents in a small city have a new way to help find a missing child. The police in this

But some people in Shanghai just don’t stop to think about how beautiful their city is and how they can help to keep it that way. Or maybe they just don’t care?

There are a lot of litterbugs(随意扔垃圾的人）in Shanghai，people who throw their rubbish everywhere. I’m talking about people of all ages-old people, middle-aged people， high school and middle school students. Why don’t they just find a rubbish bin since there are many of them on every street?

If you want to turn a place that is very beautiful into something that is very ugly,just cover it with rubbish. A pleasant tree-lined street can look like a garbage dump(垃圾场）at once!

What should we do with people that litter? I hope when we catch    them    doing    it，we  bring them to the centre of the city,and throw the things    they dropped    at  them!    Perhaps  that would make them stop and think before they litter again.

I do have a small suggestion for China’s middle-school students. Next time you are about to throw something on the ground,stop and think about how beautiful your city is. Then find a rubbish bin and pretend you’re Yao Ming一dunk (手口篮）the rubbish in the basket and score 2 points for the environment!

An hour in the morning is worth(值）two in the evening. Most of us know this. But

for some people,getting out of bed each morning is a daily challenge. It can trouble their lives.

Now, scientists from Flinders University in Australia believe they have found out why ： their body clocks are set too slow.

Professor Leon Lack studied people with delayed sleep disorder (睡目民延迟障碍）. These people have one thing in common：they are not able to fall asleep at night,nor wake up on time in the morning.

“Most people have a 24-hour body clock. It’s a natural rhythm(节奏）that influences sleepiness. But for people with delayed sleep disorder, it takes longer to complete the 24-hour body clock. So they usually go to bed later and wake up later，” Lack told the Daily Mail.
