It was early morning. Peter Corbett helped Mark Wellman out of his wheelchair and onto the ground. They stood before El Captain, a huge rock almost 1.2 kilometers high. Marco Polo(马可波罗) was born in Venice in 1254. He was the most famous foreigner to visit Asia（亚洲）during the Middle Ages. He wrote a book about his travels. It was a quiet village in which there was a military camp. It was far from the towns and cities and there were some high mountains around. Of course it was a good place for training the new soldiers.
