Some years ago, on a hot summer day, a little boy decided to go swimming in the river near his house. He went into the river and was 　41 towards（朝向） the middle, but he didn’t find there was an alligator（鳄鱼）in the river. His mother in the house 　42 out of the window and saw the alligator come near. Mr Green had a little boy. Every day had work he came home and played with his son.
One night ,while Mr Green was at work, he __41__ that he had extra work to do for the evening ,and that he wouldn’t be able to play with his son._____42____ he wanted to give the boy something to keep him  __43__. I have been keeping 41 pets at home: mice, turtles and rabbits. But golden hanmsters are my favorite. I am always surprised by 42 cute they can be.
