A great many people are disappointed because of unrealistic expectations.

Walking up to a department store’s cloth counter, a(n)  1   young woman said, “I want to buy this material for a new dress. How much does it cost?”

Not to be taken back by the funny words, the woman said,” That’s fine! I’ll take ten yards.”

A boy walked along Carver Street, singing a sad song. He walked with his head down. Once he looked up and noticed the sign across the empty street, painted on the side of an old house.     A young soldier found himself in a terrible battle during the Scottish Reformation. The enemy was   1  this young man's army on a large scale.
