The first Olympic Games at Olympia were held in 776 B. C. They were held 1 four years from 776 B. C. to 393 A. D. In ancient 2 , games were closely 3 to the worship(×ð¾´)of the gods and heroes. They were also held as part of religious ceremonies(×Ú½ÌÒÇʽ)to 4 dead heroes. But from the beginning, the games at Olympia served to 5 the Greek sense of national unity. So every four years over 1 100 years, thousands of 6 stopped all wars and 7 to a small sanctuary in northwestern Greece for five days in the late summer for 8 reason¡ªto watch the Olympic Games. During that time, 9 from all over the Greek world competed in a number of 10 events and worshipped the gods at Olympia. The athletes competed not for 11 or material goods, 12 only for the honor of being Olympic visitors. Like our Olympics, 13 athletes were heroes who put their hometowns on the map. However, 14 our Olympics, only 15 who spoke Greek could compete, instead of athletes from any 16 and the games were 17 held at Olympia instead of moving around to different places every time.
The 18 Olympics had a rich variety of games. Many of these games are the ancestors of our modern Olympic Games and had 19 and playing conditions which modern athletes would be very 20 with. They include boxing, jumping, running, wrestling and so on.

²é¿´Ï°ÌâÏêÇéºÍ´ð°¸>>The United States of America is the most culturally diverse(¶àÑù»¯) country in the world in terms of culture religion, ethnicity(ÖÖ×å) and sexual orientation. As a combination of various races and cultures, America is home to all. The culture here is so unique that citizens can be just as proud of their original cultural heritage(ÒŲú) as they are to be American.
What is now the US was initially inhabited(¾Óס) by native people until the land was settled by various European groups and African slaves. Since the 20th century, the country has become a heaven for people from all over the globe(È«Çò).
The arrival of immigrants(ÒÆÃñ) has shifted populations from rural(Å©´åµÄ) areas into cities because immigrants tend to settle in urban areas. At present, 81 percent of the inhabitants in the US live in cities.
Cultural and ethnic diversity adds a unique flavor to cities that is expressed through distinct(¶ÀÌصÄ) neighborhoods, restaurants, places of worship, museums, nightlife and multicultural learning environments.
Unique musical forms, such as jazz, rock and roll, Chicano music, and the blues, grow in the US by mixing a variety of culturally distinct musical traditions to create a new form.
At the executive (ÐÐÕþµÄ) level, the country is headed by a mixedrace president; two posts(ְλ) on the Supreme Court are held by members of the country's two largest minorities. There is also diversity in state and local governments.
Without its rich mixture of races and cultures, America would not be the nation that it is today. Founded upon the basis of equality and freedom, America acts as a stage where different cultures not only coexist peacefully, but develop well.
