Today I’d like to tell you anything about riding a bike in London. If you visit London, you’ll

see many buses, cars or bikes. It’s very cheap and quick to use bike. If you take a bus, I often have to wait for an hour or so. Besides, the buses move very slowly. The underground is quickly but expensive and often crowded. I used to travel to work by bus. I was often late, and tiring. Then a friend suggested we went to work by bike. I followed him. Although we went slowly, but we always arrived on time. Taking a bus takes 50 minutes, while ride a bike only half an hour. Now I love riding to work and I feel more better.

Today, my topic is the valuable of time. Time, like the proverb says, is money. This means that if our time is good spent, it will turn out a lot of useful and important piece of work when the proper opportunity come. Although all time is precious, but the time of our youth is more precious than any period of our existence because this is the period which we can acquire knowledge and develop our abilities. If we allow these morning hours to slip away, we shall never able to make up for the loss.

On Monday morning, I was on my way to school when suddenly as I saw a boy

knocked down by the car. In a hurry, I ran over and found the boy was serious hurt with much blood

on his face. Immediately, I call an ambulance and the boy was taken to the nearest hospital. For my

relief, the boy was fine and would recover in a few day. I went away without giving his name. I

was late for class, and I felt happy for what I had done. As a proverb says, “ Help others is the

source of happiness.” I feel our duty to make the world a better place to live in.  

    When I was 5, my father bought me the piano with all the money he had saved. Every day I

practiced playing it though my father demanded. But before long, I transferred my interest in the

piano to some other thing so began to avoid practice it. When my after realized this, he encouraged

me, but was strict whit me than before. With her help, I went the hardest time and made great

progress. Here I sincere express my gratitude to my father. On the journey of life, our parents have

lit the light of hope for us. What they have done broaden our horizon. No one deserves bigger

thanks to our parents.

How are you? As a exchange student, I am writing to tell you I would prefer to move into

a single room in next term, as I find it inconvenient to share a room with others. My roommate

often held parties at night, made much noise. Besides, his friends are always visiting him, that

disturbs me a lot. So I hope to draw your attentions to this problem. If you think in my position, I 

am sure he will agree that the only solution for me is get a room of my own, one not in the same
