Dear Editor,
I’m the only daughter of my parents．So they worried about everything I do．For example, when I ride my bike, my parents won’t let me to ride by myself．They are afraid I might fall off from my bike and hurt myself．They are taking great trouble to support a bike, with my mother even carrying a first-aid box．I’m not free to ride and I often say angry, “Why not let me ride alone?” Now, most family have one child．Parents want to do everything for our children．This does no good to them．Too many love from parents may prevent children from independent．In my opinion, parents should let their children do that they should do alone．

  This summer holiday, which I’m looking forward for, is coming. What great fun that it is to go fishing! Play football is one of my hobby. I can ride my bike, climb high mountains, and go swimming. Sometimes I can play chess with your grandfather. How interested my holiday will be! But my father was always afraid I might be hurt: drop from water, fall off a tree, hurt by a truck or something. But if I’m careless enough, how will these things happen? I must try best to persuade him.

    The winter holiday is coming, which makes me very exciting. I have been looking forward to relax myself and I’d like to go fishing, climb high mountain and ride my bicycle. I think I can play football or play the chess with my father as well. How a wonderful time I will have during the winter holiday! But my father has differently opinions. He doesn’t want me to go out. He’s afraid that I’ll be knocked down a truck, fall into rivers, fall off a tree or fight with other. What’s worse, he’s afraid I will get lost. I hate being treated like a bird keeping in a cage. I need freedom but I will try to persuade my father.
