One day while Bradley and his mother were shopping, they talked about how much they like oranges. Mother told Braadley to get some oranges, they looked good, so he went to the fruit counter to look at them. Some of them looked good, and some of them didn't. Bradley knew that he would need to select carefully.

He found a nice orange on the top of the display. The next good one he saw was down a few rows, but as he lifted it out, the whole display rolled to the floor. Bradley stood there with one orange in his hand and oranges rolling around his feet. He wished the floor would open up and swallow him.

A big man in uniform came over to Bradley.“Well, young man,”he said, “it looks as if we have quite a mess here.”

“Yes, sir,”Bradley replied, not daring to say anything else.
