　　Going to a friend’s house is very exciting．You may spend time with a friend and get to see where he lives．So remember to be polite．

　　The first thing to remember is that when a friend invites you over, you need to arrive on time．If your friend tells you to come“around 3∶00”, that means you can turn up a little bit after 3∶00．But usually it is a good idea to arrive at the right time．

　　Often it is also nice to bring something to your friend’s house．This could be a box of chocolates for you two to share, or maybe a movie that you can watch together．You can also bring some flowers．A little gift is a nice way to show your friend that you are excited to be at his house．

　　How to greet(问候)

　　When you visit your friend’s house, you may also meet his parents．You should tell them who you are and they may tell you their names．As a child, I went to visit my friend Paul．I called his parents by their first names John and Mary．But now I know it is more polite to call them Mr．or Mrs．Smith．This will show them more respect(尊重)and then they may tell you to call them by their first names．Another way to show respect is to call them Madam or Sir．

　　It is a cool thing to visit a friend’s house．Be polite to your friend and your friend’s parents, and you will be invited again!

　　We all dream although we remember only a few of our dreams．Some people train themselves to remember their dreams．As soon as they wake up, they record what their dreams were about．

　　Scientists believe that we have different kinds of sleep．One kind is called R．E．M．R．E．W．stands for rapid eye movement．During this kind of sleep our eyes move quickly, even though they are closed．Although we are asleep, there is a lot of brain activities．We probably have dreams at this time．

　　Sometimes people talk in their sleep．In these dreams the dreamer is usually unhappy or worried about something．The worst of the dreams are so frightening that we call them nightmares．In a nightmare we often dream that we are being closed()or that we are trapped in some way．

　　Scientists or others have written books about the meanings of dreams．The most famous of these scientists was Sigmund Freud who wrote a hundred years ago．He suggested different meanings to certain kinds of dreams．It is possible, however, that every dream has a special meaning only for the person who dreams it, and that this dream about something in that person’s life．

　　I started school when I was five．I started this school when I was eleven and I will leave next year when I am sixteen．So I will spend 5 years at this school．

　　The school year starts in September and ends in July．I have a two-week holiday in December, two weeks in April and six weeks in July and August．I also have a one-week holiday in February．

　　In June next year, before I leave this school, I will take exams in 10 subjects．The exams are called GCSE．All children in England have to study English, maths, science and a foreign language．They can also choose some other subjects．

　　Here is my timetable* for this year．School ends at 3∶15．
