There is a post office in our n______. I often go there to buy stamps, newspapers, postcards and so on. I sometimes go there to post letters or parcels to some of my f______. There are many young clerks working there. They are k______ to people and o______ us a lot of help. The post office is both important and c______ to us all.

Giving away usually makes life more interesting, and it is a  1   impossible to give away anything in this world without getting something b  2  . I was told at the window that there were no boxes l  6  , and that my name would have to go on a long waiting l  7  . As I was about to leave, the postmaster c  8   out, and asked, “Wasn’t it you that wrote us that letter a year ago?” I said it was. “Well, you c  9   are going to have a box in this post office. You don’t know what a letter like that m  10   to us. We usually get nothing but complaints(抱怨).”
