It was a Sunday afternoon．It was very 1 and nobody was glad to stay at home．Mike decided 2 and swim in the river．His brother,little Jim,wanted to go with him．“ 3 him with you,Mike,” said their father．
They both arrived 4 the river soon．A lot of people were 5 in it．Mike told Jim to play on the bank(岸) ,and then he jumped into the water．About an hour later(以后) ,Mike swam to the bank 6 a fish in his hands．Jim was very 7 ．He found a bottle and put the fish in it．

That night the smallest rabbit hid(躲藏) in the grass by the pool．When the elephants came to drink,the rabbit called out,“I'm the moon and this pool is mine．You are drinking my water!”
The elephants were amazed(吃惊的)! 4 One elephant put his trunk(象鼻)into the water to touch the moon's reflection．And it broke up into little waves．
“Look at what you've done!”cried the smallest rabbit．“The moon was so angry and she's broken into a thousand pieces!”
The elephants looked at the water and thought the moon was really angry． 5
All the rabbits came out and danced．They thanked the smallest rabbit for his good idea and the reflection of the moon twinkled(闪烁) in the pool again．
