We can tell the time by a clock or watch．A clock is big;it is usually on the wall, or it stands on the table．A watch is small; we can put one in our pocket (口袋) or wear it on the wrist (手腕)．
The clock has a round face with figures(数字) on it, and two hands, a long hand and a short hand．
The short hand points to the hours (小时), the long hand points to the minutes(分)．Some clock have three hands, a short hand, a long hand, and a very long one to point to the seconds (秒)．
