Elijah McCoy（1843～1929）, a mechanical engineer, worked with locomotives and parts of locomotives. He invented a self-lubricating（自动加油）machine. The machine makes it possible for machines to lubricate themselves—to put oil on themselves, that is.

A special laboratory at the University of Chicago is busy only at night. It is a dream laboratory where researchers are at work studying dreamers. The BTB BUS Company serves all parts of the city, and also provides an extensive service to nearby towns and villages.
