My great grandmother Katey is a health lady at the age of 90. 6. she had been a teacher for 50 years in the place where used to be 7. a poor area. She accepted the three homeless children and 8. brought us up by hard work. She is a great mother. So, I’m sure you 9. would be happy to send a birthday card to so respectable a lady at such an 10. advanced age, wouldn’t you? Thank you very much. 3 It is easier to go downhill than to climb uphill; so it is easier to fall into bad habits than into good ones. Bad habits do not come suddenly. They come little by a little without one being aware of 1. their dangerous. Schoolboys first pick up a little 2. in school and on the streets. While they cannot 3. do their homework, they copy their schoolmates. 4. If they will see bigger boys smoking , they also 5. want to learn to smoke. If they see their friends 6. gambling . they want to gamble, either. 7. When they get bigger, the habits became stronger 8. and stronger, so that they can no more get rid of 9. them. From copy, they learn to steal; from gambling, 10. they learn to cheat. At last, they become distrusted by everybody. How necessary it is that we get rid of the bad habits in the beginning. 4 A female panda , it fell into the Dadu River in 1. Southwest China Sichuan Province, was rescued by 2. local villagers in Luding County and is now at the Chengdu Zoo, full recovered .It was named after the county where it was rescued. 3. On realizing was a panda struggling 5. to get it out ,they jumped in to rescue it. Finally they managed to 6. pull it onto the bank, where they wrapped it in their own clothes to 7. keep themselves warm . Local officials , who praised the 8. villagers for the rescue , said that the panda probably was slid 9. into the river while came down one of the mountain nearby. 10. 5 It's well knowing that the Yellow River is the 1. second largest river in China. Though my hometown 2. was close to her, but I had little chance to enjoy 3. myself at her beautiful scenery. What pity! 4. To my great joy, we were told that we would go there and have a good look at lovely river on Sunday. 5. It took us quite a few hour's ride to reach the 6. bank of the river, there we saw " the Chunu Spring" 7. . It is one of the most famous hot springs there. The water of the spring was so clear as we couldn't help 8. diving into it. Our head teacher, together with us, swam happily. Floated on the water, I looked around. We were 9. surrounded by the great mountains. Then we got on some small boats. We had been longing to floating on the Mother River. Seeing her powerful 10. and attractive beauty.
