Aftershock, a movie about the 1976 Tangshan earthquake, has grossed over 160 million yuan at the Chinese box office since its opening on July 22, the State Administration of Radio Film and Television(SARFT)said Monday.

The movie earned more than 100 million yuan within three days of its release, breaking the Chinese box office record previously held by The Founding of a Republic.

Aftershock set it first box office record on its release day when it earned 36.2 million yuan-the highest box office ever for a local movie on its opening day.

It is about a mother's three-decade journey leading to an emotional reunion with the daughter she thought she had lost in the earthquake. The Tangshan earthquake left more than 240,000 dead.

A survey on sina.com, one of China's major news portals(门户站点), shows nearly half of the 20,015 people surveyed said the movie was “very good and surpassed expectations”.

About one quarter of those surveyed said the great performances of the movie's cast moved them the most.

Also there was laughter during the movie's screening, especially when advertisements were inserted into the story line of the movie and given close-up shots.

Fifteen minutes of the movie's total length of two and a half hours were for these advertisements, which have drawn criticism from the media as well as the public.

In an interview with Xinhua on Monday, Zhang Hongsen, vice director of the SARFT film department said advertisements placed in moves were necessary for film makers to make profits, as piracy(盗版行为)poses a threat to their revenues(财政收入).

He said a tougher crackdown on piracy was essential to solving the problem of such advertisements placed into movies.

阅读下列短文,从题中所给的四个选项(A,B,C和D)中,选出最佳选项。

Fifteen minutes to kick - off. The streets around the stadium are empty for policemen standing on corners, watching for trouble. The fans are all inside. A police helicopter passes low overhead.

My friend is a Wolveshampton Wanderers fan. I support the home team, Brighton. It is my local team. But there is no neutral place to standwe must watch the match among my people or his. “Let's go in with the Wolves,” I say, conceding he is my guest, “Thanks,” he says. “I appreciate it.”

By standing together, though, we are breaking the rules. All the entrances to the stadium are marked either “Home Supporters Only” or “Away Supporters Only”. Each entrance is guarded by a small group of policemen. We walk along the side of the stadium, looking for a viable turnstile. The police question us as we walk past. “You're Wolves, are you?” they say. “Right. Along there,” I nod, having to lie.

Now we are inside the Wolveshampton enclosure, penned into a section of the stadium by thick wire fences.

It is impossible for me to show any sign that I support my own team. In fact, to pass muster (过得去) I must demonstrate the opposite. When a cheer starts, I must join in, punching the air. When a refereeing decision, even a fair one, goes against Wolveshampton, I must appear angry.

Halfway through the second half, Wolves take the lead. A good move wrongfoots the defence, leaving Andy Mutch with an open shot at goal. He scores. My heart sinks; my team are down. The men I am jammed against leap into the air, screaming as loudly as they can, punching the air, turning and pushing each other. I must follow them. I scream and shout. Someone has his arm around me; someone else is shaking his fist in my faces. his mouth half open, crying.

1.The underlined part “neutral place” in the second paragraph most probably means ________.

D.seems to hate the police and Wolveshampton

3.Andy Mutch must be ________.

No one else knew about the extra club in Zach Nash's golf bag.It belonged to a friend, and Zach forgot it was there as he played his way to victory in a junior tournament(锦标赛)last summer in Wisconsin, US.

The 14-year-old accepted his medal, celebrated with his grandparents who had come from a long way to watch. But when he stopped by his country club to share the news, a professional player noticed something wrong.“Count your clubs,” he told the teenager.

Fifteen-one more than allowed.Zach's eyes filled with tears.

If Zach had just won a basketball championship or a soccer game and someone had discovered a violation after the win, it would not have mattered. It is nothing unusual for a soccer player to dive to the turf to draw fouls(假摔以使对方犯规).

Golf is different. In a win-at-all-costs world, the game holds itself to a higher standard.Golf isn't a game where referees watch closely. In golf tournaments, dozens of competitors are spread across acres of land, so officials cannot hope to see each shot.Competitors call penalties(处罚)on themselves.

“It was a sport for gentlemen, and gentlemen did not care about winning. They care about doing the right thing,” said Robert Simon, a golf coach at Hamilton College in New York.

Honesty became a medal of honor. When one of the game's early stars, Bobby Jones, was praised for calling a penalty on himself at the 1925 US Open, he replied:“You might as well praise a man for not robbing a bank.”

So even the error had no effect on Zach's final score-he has never used the extra club, the teenager packed up his medal and dropped it in the mail.“But this is golf, and rules are rules.I just knew what I had to do,” he said.

Then came another tournament. Before teeing off(开球), Zach counted his clubs-four times.

(1)

What can we infer from the text?

[ ]

A.

A friend put an extra club in Zach's bag.

B.

Zach returned the medal that he had won.

C.

Zach's grandparents encouraged him to play fair.

D.

Zach regretted meeting with the professional player.

(2)

According to Robert, golf is different from other sports in that ________.

[ ]

A.

honor comes before victory

B.

players are superior to coaches

C.

referees have to watch each shot

D.

players needn't care about medals

(3)

What can be learned from the underlined sentence?

[ ]

A.

One should be praised for not robbing a bank.

B.

Bobby looked down upon bank robbers.

C.

Little did Bobby care about the penalty.

D.

Observing rules demands no praise.

(4)

Why did Zach count his clubs four times before the following tournament?

[ ]

A.

He remembered the lesson.

B.

He lacked self-confidence.

C.

He felt a little too nervous.

D.

He was no good with numbers.
