　　There's an old saying, “Whether it's cold or whether it's hot, we're going to have weather, whether or not.” That is true, weather is always around us.

　　Everybody spends a lot of time doing something about the weather. You get dressed every day. You wear warm clothes in winter and put on light clothes in summer. You take an umbrella when it looks like rain, and you put on boots if there snows. If it's cold at night, you put on more blankets on your bed. If it's hot, you take them off. Every time you do any of those things, you've done something about the weather.

What is color? Why do some of the things around us look red, some green, others blue?

Colors are really made by deflected (反射) light. We see color because most of the things reflect light. In the same way, if something is green, it reflects most of the green light. If something reflects all light, it is white. If it doesn’t reflect any light, it is black.

I’m 14, a year younger than most of my classmates.

A week ago one of my classmates, Nitin, asked me for help with math homework. We ended up talking about computers and file-sharing（共享文件）. As we talked I found that he was more experienced and could teach me about file-sharing and networking. We went to his room and watched a movie about robots that he’d downloaded. The math homework was forgotten.

The next day he came again for homework help “What do you do on weekends?” he asked. The truth is, when I have work to do, I do it. I have no special time to kill with friends.
