After reading the letter Annie realized her life would never be the same again．She couldn't believe what she had just read and so she read it again．Still, it was true．She was now extremely rich, the owner of the best hotels in London．
Her uncle had died and left her all his fortune．They had never met as her mother had argued with her uncle when her mother had married a poor doctor．Annie knew very little about her uncle as her parents did not want her to know anything about a rich relative when they hardly had anything to eat．
She had struggled all her life to study so that she could provide a better life for her parents．Unfortunately they had died in an accident and she was alone．
The day she received the letter she had just come back from a job interview．She had been turned downas she wasn't dressed properly．
She knew that all her dreams would come true．She would have nice dress, a comfortable place and also the possibility to run her own business．At the same time, Annie knew the fact that her cousins would try to fight her uncle's decision．However, she was ready to face them as she saw everything as a girl from God．
On the other hand, she couldn't help thinking of her parents, of all the difficulties they had to overcome．So she burst into tears．Even now she couldn't be entirely happy because she was alone．She came to realize that all the money in the world couldn't buy the happiness brought by the people she loved．
