　　By Joe I invited a friend of mine out to eat．My question is who should pay? I invited him to get together to eat, and I wanted to pay for the meal．However, someone told me that we both go Dutch on the bill is only proper and I want to know how you all see it．

　　By Bill Because you invite, you need to pay the bill(账单)．When friends are splitting(分离)a bill, most people pass the bill around the table and how much they pay bases on(以……为根据)what they order．If you both order the same thing, just split it．

　　By Holly If you invite him out and pick out the place where you go, you should pay because maybe he didn't want to spend his money there．

　　By Laura I don't think that people should expect the asker to pay unless it is a formal date and the asker is a man．It stops people from asking because you become a burden(负担)．For that reason I always pay even if someone asks me out．I think it's really polite．

　　By Mauchris I don't．think it is a big deal．Small things like this can sink a friendship．I would say that since you invited him that you should pay．Is it OK with him? If not, you are willing to go Dutch．

　　Once upon a time, there was a big lion who lived in a zoo．One day, he was very hungry．When Bill, the keeper, gave him his dinner, he ate it up quickly．Quite by mistake he ate up the keeper, too．When it was time for lunch, Bill did not show up．So the other keepers sat down to eat, still wondering why young Bill was not there．

　　Suddenly there came a loud sound from the Lion House．They went to see what was the matter．

　　There they found the big lion lying on the ground looking very big and fat and not at all happy．The keepers looked at one another and all of them said at once, “Of course!The big lion has swallowed(吞下)poor Bill．They got a bottle of brown medicine．Then they put the big lion to sleep for the operation．They cut up the front of his belly(肚子)．Out jumped Bill, looking quite all right．

　　They sewed the big lion up．When the lion woke up, he felt well again．
