On a cold afternoon in winter, Robert was walking on the bridge. There was hardly any   1   on the river. Near the bridge, however, there was a small canoe(独木舟), with a boy in it. Dick was driving a large American car. As soon as the race started, he pulled out in front. As the race went on, he kept the first place. And he was far ahead of Wilson, the man in the second place.
