A war broke out In the city of Jerusalem(耶路撒冷)in 1948 between the Arabs(阿拉伯人)and the Jews(犹太人).An Arab woman。and her husband had to leave their home and never came back since then.In 1967,peace came.The Arab woman,who was now a widow(寡妇),wanted to see once more their house.

The Jewish woman turned white.After some time she said,“My husband was one of the Jewish soldiers that entered Jerusalem.He came into this house and found a baby on the floor.”
At that moment,a twenty-year-old soldier walked into the room,and the Jewish woman broke down in tears.“This is your son,” she cried.
Since then,the two mothers with their son lived happily together in the house.
