This morning when I got up, I was very hungry. I went into the kitchen to make my breakfast. I went into the kitchen and….
“Help!” I cried. “Mice! They’re eating my breakfast!” I really don’t like any mice. However, I really hate mice that eat my breakfast!
I didn’t like the brown mouse and it was eating my bread. I disliked the balck mouse and it was eating my cheese. And I couldn’t stand(忍受) the white mouse and it’s eating my chicken feet! But nobody came to help me.
I closed the door of the kitchen and I phoned Jim. He is my friend and not afraid of mice.
He came and we went into the kitchen. “One, two, three…open!” he said. I quickly opened the door, but there were no mice. How terrible! The only things left were three carrots, half a cabbage, and two pieces of bread.

More than anything else in the world, Lion liked being King of the jungle. He walked around, showing off his power and pride.
Each day Lion took a long lazy sleep under the shade of his favourite tree. He always dreamed of weaker animals bowing(鞠躬) before him.
One day Mouse ran through the jungle and tripped over Lion’s huge paws. Lion woke up with a start. “How dare you wake me up! ” he shouted angrily. Lion grabbed Mouse with one paw. “On the second thought, I’m in the mood for the snack, and you’ll make a delicious meal.”, he said.
Mouse cried out, “King Lion, please spare(饶恕) me! If you let me live, I’ll always remember your kindness. And, some day, I might be able to help you.”
“ How could such a powerless little mouse ever help me?” That thought made Lion laugh so much that he decided to let Mouse go. No matter how he twisted and turned, he couldn’t escape.
When Mouse heard Lion’s frightened shouts, he raced to help. Mouse quickly chewed(咬)through the ropes to make a hole in the net. Soon, Lion moved out and was free. We know that many animals do not stay in one place. Birds, fish and other animals move from one place to another at a certain time. They move for different reasons: most of them move to find food more easily, but others move to get away from places that are too crowded.
When cold weather comes, many birds move to warmer places to find food. Some fishes give birth in warm water and move to cold water to feed. The most famous migration(迁移)is probably the migration of the fish which is called “salmon”.This fish is born in fresh water but it travels many miles to salt water. There it spends its life. When it is old,it returns to its birthplace in fresh water. Then it gives birth and dies. In northern Europe, there is a kind of mouse. They leave their mountain homes when they bccome too crowded. They move down to the low land. Sometimes they move all the way the seadide, and many of them are killed when they fall into the sea.[来源:Zxxk.Com]

One day when some government officials were rebuilding a house, they found a mouse hole in a corner and used smoke to make the mice inside the hole come out. A while later they saw mice running out, one after another, but they saw two mice didn’t run away immediately. It seemed that one was trying to bite(咬) the tail of the other.
Everyone was puzzled, so they came nearer to take a look. They realized that one of the two mice was blind, and the other was trying to allow the blind mouse to bite his tail in order to pull the blind one with him to run away.
During the meal time, they started to talk about the two mice. One serious American said, “I think the relationship between those two mice was that of king and guard.”
A smart Frenchman said, “I think the relationship between them was that of husband and wife.”
A Japanese said, “I think the relationship between them was that of mother and son.”
At that moment, one Chinese asked, “Why did those two mice have a certain relationship?”
Suddenly, they looked back at the Chinese. The American, the Frenchman and the Japanese who had spoken earlier all lowered (低下) their heads in shame, and didn’t answer.
