Step 1
let students correct some common mistakes in the writing and present the kinds of mistakes.
一 、句子结构
1.However, other students against the idea.
2.I am not be a student who is crazy about music.
3.There have many reasons for that.
Tips: “句子结构不对,一处扣2分”.
二 、动词
1.DuJiangyan Irrigation Project, which is built
2000 years ago, are still working now.
Tips: “时态语态误用为大错,一处扣2分”.
三、非谓语动词
1.Play computer games too much is bad for health
2. Facing with some difficulties, we can turn to our
teachers and classmates.
3. Improve my spoken language, I decide to spend
more time on English study.
四、名词

Step 2
Get students to correct a composition written by our classmate. At the same time, remind the students to pay attention to the rules.
I recently made a survey about different views on the new English textbook among my classmates. According to the survey, 80% of the students are quite satisfying with it ,while 15% dislike it and 5% keep silently . Students who like it say it contains much knowledges, that can open their eyes. However, many interesting pictures can make them interested the book. However, students who dislike it complain there is too many new words and difficult sentences ,make the texts difficult to understand. In conclusion, the new English textbook had helped most students make a great progress in English study.
Step 3
Let students discuss the topic:“ How can we succeed in our life? ”in groups. In the meanwhile, give students some proverbs.
uWhere there is a will, there is a way.
uKnowledge is power.
uFailure is the mother of success.
uExperience is the best teacher.
After the discussion, invite several students to express their opinions, and the teacher writes some good expressions on the blackboard.
Step 4
Ask students to write a passage by themselves. Before writing, the teacher reminds them to pay attention to the structure, content and language again. When the writing is over, invite two students to read their compositions.
Step 6
If time permits , the teacher presents the example writing and asks students to compare it with their own compositions.
Step 7 Homework
1. Correct your partner’s composition.
2. Recite the example writing.
