Finally, I entered the university．Because of my careful savings, I did not have to work during the school year. Then, summer came and it was time to work harder than ever. I continued working as a waitress at night, instructed tennis camps several mornings a week and worked as a secretary for a few hours in the afternoons. I even decided to take a class at a community college. This class at the community college saved me $650. It was an extremely tiring summer and made me anxious to return to my relatively easy life at the university.
During my second and third years of undergraduate schooling, I decided to work about five hours per week in the campus admissions office answering phones. This provided a little spending money and kept me from drawing my savings out. The overall situation looked hopeful as I approached my senior year as long as I could make as much money as I had the previous summer. I wanted to go to Israel to study for 3 weeks, but I hesitated in making this decision because it would cost me $1,600 more to get the credits in Israel. About two weeks later my Mom called to tell me that I had $1,600 in the bank that I had forgotten about! One of my concerns about this trip was not only the cost, but the loss of time to make money; however, I made as much that summer in the ten weeks when I was at home as I had made during the fourteen weeks when I was at home the summer before. The way everything worked together to make this trip possible was one of the most exciting things that have ever happened to me.
This experience has shaped me in many important ways. The first thing that I learned was the importance of a strong work ethic. Working long hours did a lot to develop my character and helped me learn the value of a dollar. It also made me learn how to search for creative ways to settle difficult situations.

How to Avoid Mistakes in the IELTS Test
Many students, some with very good English skills, take the academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test and fail to achieve the score they expected or hoped for. In order to avoid this, it is important to have an understanding of what you need to do in each part of the exam and have some basic strategies. 1.
Don’t give very short answers
Don’t just answer "yes" or "no" to questions. The examiner needs to hear you speak, so always give extra information.
For example, for part 1:
Q: Do you have a big family?
A: Yes, I do. I have my parents, and I also have three brothers and two sisters. My aunt lives with us as well. 2.It can be quite noisy in our house, but it’s still a lot of fun!

Warley Woods Community (社区) Trust
Welcome to our third newsletter of the year!
Our main activity for March is our Walk for the Woods fundraising events on Saturday，17th March，starting any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. We will be walking the distance between Warley Woods and Tipperary. It is indeed a long way-80 miles. The more people that you can get sponsor you，the more money we can raise to help look after our beautiful woodland. More information is available at our website.
The Sunday volunteers planted two beeches and on oak last week. This was thanks to the money fro the Big Tree Plant and to Lisa and Gordon Whitiker，whose friends gave money for the big trees instead of for their wedding presents. Thanks to everyone who took part.
There were 15 volunteers at the Oral History Training Day which was led by vey ably by Julia Letts. The group will be meeting again and will start to interview the local people who have offered to tell their stories. We are happy to hear from others who would like to be interviewed about their memories of the Woods for the project. If you or anyone you know is interested，please call Viv Cole at the office. This project is financed by Heritage Lottery Fund.
There was a huge response to the Forest Schools activities held at half term. These will be held again during the Easter holidays on the following dates: 4th April from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for over 8s. On 12th April form 10 a.m. to 12 noon，there will be a Teddy Bears’ Picnic for the under 8s. All these must be booked in advance.
Finally，don’t forget the Easter Egg Roll on Bank Holiday，9th April，staring at 11 a.m. Bring your own hard-boiled and decorated egg to roll down the hill in the woods. The first past the finishing line will win a large chocolate egg! This year，due to popular demand，there will also be an Adults’ Easter Egg Roll following the children’s competition.
