October 1st 2009 was our country's 60th anniversary£®Many middle school students, including myself, actively took part in the voluntary work to celebrate this great day£®Before the celebration, many of us helped clean up the environment in our spare time, such as sweeping the road and picking up rubbish£®Some of us were chosen to show different designs with flowers and some of us were chosen to join the singing or dancing group£® In order to perform well, we trained very hard£®Finally the day came£®On October 1st, some volunteered as guides and interpreters, helping people especially foreigners find their way quickly£®Some were lucky enough to walk in the mass parade through Chang¡¯an Street and to give wonderful performances there£®In my opinion, all of us did a wonderful job in the grand celebration and I was very proud to do what I could do for my motherland£® £¨151 words£©
