Save resources．If you're brushing your teeth, turn off the tap．Instead of using the shower, use a water pail when taking a shower．Turn off appliances when you don't use them and don't just put them on standby． 4 Do you know that if you leave your computer turned on all day, it emits 1,500 pounds of carbon dioxide in a year? Turn it off instead．
Be a role model．You can start by being a role model for your family．When your family starts seeing you doing the simple things to save the environment, they'll follow suit．Your family can then be a role model for your community．
Teach．Teach others the simple tips on how to save the environment． 5 It needs as many people contributing as possible．Teach others how to save the environment and tell them the benefit of doing so．
