ÐÐÕþ·þÎñÖÐÐÄExecutive Service Centre
My hometown , the ancient city of Pingyao, is a world cultural heritage with a history of more over 2700 years, which saw the Beijing Olympic torch relay on June 25, 2008.
The Executive Service Center was the starting point of the torch relay. The Xiangyun torch traveled along Liugen Road, over the city wall, which was the first time all over China, and finally reached the Yingxunmen Square at about 4:30, where a big celebration was held.
I, together with my schoolmates, took part in the activity. When the torch went by us, we all became so excited that we all cheered, shouted some slogans, and waved the national flags and the five-ring flags, having totally forgotten the hot weather.
As we all know, the Olympic torch is a sign of peace, therefore the torch relay speaks out people¡¯s good hope for peace, and it is an inspiration for people to take a more active part in sports to keep fit.
