Guy de Maupassant was a well-known French novelist in the 19th century . in August , 1850, he was
born into an ordinary family in Normandy , France , where he was br
ought up too.
When he was still a boy , he showed great interest in literature . Luckily for him ,his mother loved
literature deeply , who encouraged him to write poems . His mother became his first teacher , who led
him to his literature career.
Since 1871, he began to make use of his spare time to write . Before long , his works were very
popular with people . It was during this time that he finished his master piece “The Necklace”, Which
made him better known.
As for his stories , most of them are short ones , which give people a surprising ending.
