In your English class, the teacher shows this picture of a boy dreaming of the future, and asks the class to discuss it. Your classmates have different understandings.

Look at the picture carefully and tell the class how you understand the picture and what makes you think so.

A.

From the picture, we can see a boy thinking about something. Obviously he is dreaming of becoming a student of Qinghua University, the most famous one in China , What a fright future he will have if he realizes his dream!

In my opinion, it is natural for a middle school student to have a strong desire to enter a key university like Qinghua. He will be admired and respected by the society. What’s more, it will be easy for him to get a satisfactory job with such a college degree.

B.

From the picture, we can see a boy thinking about something. Obviously he is dreaming of becoming a student of Qinghua University, the most famous one in China. Perhaps his dream will never come true even if he works hard.

In my opinion, he should be practical to face his own situation. Only a few top students can have a chance to go to Qinghua University. However, one should always look into the future with hope and confidence.
